In the framework of the Science Week of the University of Cantabria (13-24 November 2023), the Faculty of Science hosted an outstanding exhibition and poster competition, in which several research groups actively participated. Among them, the Open STEAM group presented a sample of their work in the framework of the AuthOMath project through the poster: ‘Resolviendo ecuaciones lineales con STACK / Solving linear equations with STACK’. We are pleased to report that the corresponding poster was awarded with the second prize!
Mathías Tejera and Cecilia Russo delivered a presentation at the I International GeoGebra Conference, which took place at the University of Cordoba in Spain from November 9 to November 12, 2023.
The presentation, entitled ‘AuthOMath: innovación de la enseñanza de las matemáticas a través de la integración de GeoGebra y STACK / AuthOMath: innovation in mathematics teaching through the integration of GeoGebra and STACK‘ aimed to show the potential of combining these tools.

Of course, AuthOMath will be present too: Guido Pinkernell will give a keynote on the project’s outcomes. – and here are the slides: Click
Below is what has happened during our project time, which is lot’s! For a deeper insight into our aims, activities, and results please check the menu above.

We had a very productive meeting in Scotland’s capital last week. The Edinburgh team did a great job with organising both working and leisure time. As to working, they invited professional videographer Paul Maguire to do some recording with us – looking forward to the results coming next! And, of course, we spend a considerable amount of time to round up our work on Digital Task Design, results coming up on our AuthOMath website soon. And as to leisure time: “Sláinte!”
Guido Pinkernell and Tim Lutz informed the German Arbeitskreis Mathematikunterricht und digitale Medien during its 2023 autumn meeting at the University of Education Freiburg about the AuthOMath project. The presentation can be accessed here: Click
María Sanz-Ruiz presented some of the work carried out in the University of Cantabria as a contributed talk: ‘Formative feedback on linear equations’. This talk was part of CADGME (Conference on Digital Tools in Mathematics Education). The event took place between the 11th and 13th of September, 2023, in the University of Catania. For the presentation see here: Click
María Sanz-Ruiz presented part of the work carried out in the University of Cantabria in the poster “Retroalimentacion de ecuaciones lineales en STACK (Feedback of linear equations in STACK)” during the XXVI Symposium of the SEIEM in Logroño, Spain. SEIEM stands for Sociedad Española de Investigación en Educación Matemática (Spanish Society for Research in Mathematics Education). The event was held from the 6th to the 8th of September, 2023, at La Universidad de La Rioja. Here is the poster for download: Click
This work will be published in the Proceedings of the conference as:

Tim Lutz presented the state of PR1 (linking GeoGebra and STACK) at a meeting of the “Open Search Foundation: working group Applications” in order to justify the necessity of independent domain didactic search indices for complex task collections, which would support sustainability of material creation in the Erasmus+ project.
